CUSTOMER TESTIMONIALS

“I have had lots of product suppliers throughout my life.  All of them had their good and bad points.  A chance encounter at an industry dinner introduced me to Gilbert.  He was at my table and we struck up a conversation. I had been looking for a supplier that would be recognized by my new insurance company.  I liked what he had to say so I thought I would give ASAP a trial period.

In all my years dealing with pharmaceutical companies, I had not known that there was more. ASAP showed me what I was missing.  There is something different about ASAP and it starts at the top and flows down.  I was shocked that they delivered in person.  However, having been in sales throughout my career, I am a cynic at heart.  It took me almost four years to accept that the people at ASAP Pharmacy are real.

They have helped me with the extras…shopping, taking me to Doctor appointments, sitting in meetings with Doctors…they go out of their way that doesn’t equal dollars in the bank.  It doesn’t generate revenue but it cements relationships.  There isn’t another company like ASAP.  My wife thinks their service is phenomenal and we fully endorse their mission.  We wouldn’t know what to do without ASAP.  Meeting Gilbert was meant to be.”  JB

“For the last seven or eight years, I have had the good fortune to interact with several good individuals associated with pharmaceutical and homecare companies.  They comment that they are supportive of those in the hemophilia community.  There was always a significant gap between what was said and what actually took place.  That scenario changed when I began doing business with ASAP Pharmacy.  It has been a rewarding experience for me and my wife to interact with a company like ASAP.
ASAP Pharmacy goes beyond, they go the extra mile, they do what they say and they never hesitate to go further to ensure that the needs of their customers are met. They continue to grow because of that commitment.  You deal with caring individuals, not a company.”  JW

ASAP Pharmacy, located in Palos Heights, IL announced that it has received a Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation from URAC, a Washington, D.C. based health care accrediting organization that establishes quality standards for the health care industry.  URAC’s Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation standards provide assurance to patients, providers, purchasers, regulators and employers that the practices of the organization performing these services are fair and equitable for all parties.

“Through the diligence of our ASAP Pharmacy team, the accreditation obtained under URAC’s Specialty Pharmacy standards demonstrates our commitment to consistently improve the manner in which we serve our community.  We believe we must educate, empower and equip each of our patients to experience a fuller quality of life beyond the prescription,” said Hans Kuhn, President and owner of ASAP Pharmacy.

ASAP Pharmacy is a fully licensed pharmacy, specializing in serving people with expensive therapies for their chronic illnesses. It was established in 2001, fulfilling a decades-long dream of changing the way health care works.  Our family has been personally affected by many chronic illnesses, including Hemophilia, Cancer, Diabetes, and Crohn’s Disease.  We believe a pharmacy has the responsibility and the resources to go beyond the dispensing of medication.

“By applying for and receiving URAC Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation, American Service and Product, Inc., ASAP Pharmacy, has displayed leadership through a commitment to quality and accountability,” said Alan P. Spielman, URAC president and CEO.  “Quality health care is crucial to our nation’s welfare and it is important to have organizations that are willing to measure themselves against national standards and undergo rigorous evaluation by an independent accrediting body.”

The URAC Specialty Pharmacy standards establish consistency in pharmacy processes.  The standards ensure that appropriately trained clinical personnel conduct and oversee the utilization review process, that a reasonable and timely appeals process is in place, and that medical decisions are based on valid clinical criteria.

URAC, an independent, nonprofit organization, is a leader in promoting health care quality through accreditation and certification programs.  URAC’s standards keep pace with the rapid changes in the health care system, and provide a mark of distinction for health care organizations to demonstrate their commitment to quality and accountability.  Through its broad-based governance structure and an inclusive standards development process, URAC ensures that all stakeholders are represented in setting meaningful standards for the health care industry.  For more information, visit www.urac.org.
